Installed, tested, and forgot about it. Today, cooking smoke triggered fire alarm and before I got to turning the alarm off, the stove had shut off. Then I forgot how to reset it. Looked for info on the web and it immediately pulled up a sound that when played restarted the FireAvert in 30 seconds. Great peace of mind!

I was worried about an elderly parent leaving the stove or oven on and causing a fire or gas explosion. This device works as advertised! If the stove or oven gets left on and the smoke alarm goes off, it shuts the gas supply to the appliance off...no gas explosion! It was very easy to install and only took about 10 minutes.

My son forgot a pan on the stove which caused $53,000 in damages so I purchased this to prevent a recurrence. Tested by manually activating smoke alarm and it shut the stove off immediately. Worth every penny for the peace of mind alone.

Very easy to install. Turn off breaker Plug in (3 fingers wide) Put everything back Flip breaker on Only normal sounds allowed (no kids screaming) Sync your specific smoke detector by pressing for 30 seconds. Check device has a solid green led Now the moment of Truth.... Start cooking Final test to ensure that it's working Hold down the smoke detector test button don't let go until your stove goes off. Mine took exactly 30 seconds and that's ok by me anytime. If it trips the stove off just reset the breaker by turning it off then on again. When you lose everything you will be willing to flip a breaker now and then. Trust me it's easier then being broke and homeless. I also have 24 smokes all interconnected.
