FireAvert's Auto stove shutoff

Fire Avert…. have you heard of it? It wasn’t too long ago – January 5th to be exact – that we were watching Shark Tank and we saw this product being shown to the sharks. I was impressed with it on the show so when I had the opportunity to review the product, I was happy to do so!

So what is Fire Avert? It helps protect your home 24 hours day. The leading cause of stove fires in the United States today is unattended cooking.  Fire Alert automatically disconnects the power to your range or stove in the event that fire or smoke are detected. Fire Avert activates in response to the audible signal of an existing smoke detector-a patented syncing feature sync’s to the sound signature on your specific smoke detector-ensuring maximum reliability and minimizing false alarms.

There are actually statistics that show that stove fires happen every 3.5 minutes in the US. A product such as Fire Avert becomes an absolute necessity in any household. The way it works is that Fire Avert prevents stove fires by simply cutting power to the stove when you forget you left it on.  Fire Avert is the first auto safety stove shut off device that responds to your smoke detector you already have in your house.

Plug and play installation means that Fire Avert can be installed in less than 10 minutes in a few easy steps without tools or professional assistance. Fire Avert is not complicated at all and you can protect your home from stove fire in a matter of minutes. As you can see above, I pulled out the stove, did some serious cleaning so I could take this picture, and then went to the garage and shut off the power for the electrical outlet. Then, using a flashlight I unplugged the stove from the wall.  I plugged the Fire Avert box into the wall outlet, and then plugged the stove’s cord into the Fire Avert box. Easy Peasy! Oh, and then I went back out to the garage and flipped the power back on.
